Funmi Somoye-Art Instructor
Funmi Somoye facilitates some art therapy activities for the Ark Counseling and Wellness Center. A position that allows her to share her affinity for the creative with others, and teaches how relaxing and rewarding making art can be. She is a parent and wholeheartedly believes that mental health services should be available regardless of age or demographic.
Crafting and creating art have been integral in Funmi's life for as long as she can remember. She studied Graphics, painting, and sculpture at The School of Visual arts in Manhattan. She works with oils, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, and digital art. Through the pandemic, she has continued her education and received a certification in Empathetic User Experience design.
